About the Location
Jeju Island’s like a slice of paradise—volcanic cliffs, turquoise seas, and Mount Halla towering in the center like a wise old sage. Halla’s a dormant volcano, the highest peak in South Korea, and it’s sacred to locals, with legends of gods and spirits swirling around it. Our retreat’s based at a cozy eco-lodge near the mountain’s base, with simple but comfy rooms (think wooden floors, big windows, and views of lava fields). You’ll hike through lush forests, past waterfalls, and visit sacred sites like Seongeup Village and Sanbangsan Temple. Jeju’s got a mystical energy, and the hot springs we’ll soak in? Pure bliss after a day of trekking.
All About the Retreat
This trek’s a soul-stirring adventure, blending physical hikes with deep spiritual work. You’re not just climbing Mount Halla—you’re climbing into your own cosmic truth with lunar astrology and Korean rituals. It’s intense but so worth it. Here’s the deal:
What You’ll Do
Each day starts with a hike, ranging from 2-4 hours, led by a Jeju native who knows Halla’s trails like their own backyard. You’ll visit sacred spots—think ancient altars or hidden caves—where Korean shamans lead energy rituals to clear your vibe. Natal chart readings happen at these sites, with astrologers tying your chart to the moon’s cycles and the island’s energy; you’ll get one personal 1:1 session plus group workshops. Forest meditations, guided by a shaman, use drumming and breathwork to ground you in nature. Evenings often end with hot spring soaks under the stars, loosening your muscles and soul. One night, we’ll do a full moon ceremony with lanterns and chants—its unreal. Meals are vegan, featuring Jeju’s black rice, wild herbs, and citrus fruits, served at the lodge or picnic-style on the trail.
7:00 AM KST, morning qi-gong or stretching to prep for hiking.
7:30 AM KST, breakfast with vegan Jeju dishes, like tangerine smoothies and veggie pancakes.
8:30 AM KST, guided hike to a sacred site, about 2-4 hours with breaks.
12:30 PM KST, lunch on the trail or back at the lodge, plus some downtime.
2:00 PM KST, natal chart workshop or personal reading at a sacred spot.
3:30 PM KST, energy ritual or forest meditation with the shaman.
5:30 PM KST, hot spring soak or free time to journal and chill.
7:00 PM KST, dinner, sometimes with a talk on Jeju’s spiritual history.
8:30 PM KST, evening meditation or full moon ceremony, wrapping up by 10:00 PM.
